The Mount Gambier History Group invites you to explore our comprehensive online collection of history books, which cover a range of topics related to the history of Mount Gambier and its surroundings. These books can be purchased online and delivered to your address. NOTE Books that are out of print may not be new but are in good condition.  POSTAGE & HANDLING Standard postage and handling applies on orders of upto three books. For larger   orders please contact the history group for actual postage costs.

In addition, we provide lookups from our own unpublished research and from other resources  that have been donated to the centre. To request a lookup, please click here and complete the form. We can assist you with finding information on any person, place or event of historical interest.

Price: $20.00
We are happy to lookup information in the records we have. Please provide as much information as you can, including topic, dates and names. The more specific you can be, the easier it will be for us to locate what you are looking for.

You are buying the time of a group volunteer to undertake research on your behalf. We cannot guarantee that we will find exactly what you are looking for. Records simply may not exist, be available or be accessible. Where possible, we will endeavour to complete your request or possibly provide you with some guidance on other avenues which you can pursue. For this reason, we do not offer refunds if we do not find the information you are after.

Research jobs are charged at an hourly rate with an initial minimum charge of $20.00. Clients will be advised in advance should the estimated costs exceed this minimum. Research jobs exceeding one hour are charged at $20.00 for the first hour and $15.00 per hour thereafter. Photocopying and postage will be additional to the research fee.
