A Sense of Place (book 1)
$30.00
A Sense of Place details the origins of the first subdivisions of sections of land privately owned in the newly developing township of Mount Gambier.
Beginning with the first section numbered 1103 that was originally owned by Evelyn Sturt from 1847, mystery surrounds his subdivision intentions, as no plan exists, only two 1849 leases that detail their allotment numbers. An officially surveyed plan for Section 1103 in 1854 was finally registered in 1856 by the then owner, Hastings Cunningham.
